Warranty

LIFETIME GUARANTEE

At Thurston, we are dedicated to producing high-quality handcrafted Vermont furniture and ensuring the integrity of our products. Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your furniture. If there is a flaw in the construction or a failure of materials, we will either repair or replace the piece. Some exclusions apply. See details below.

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, spills, improper cleaning, commercial use, misuse, abuse, neglect, alterations, unauthorized repairs, or damages caused by natural disasters. This includes but is not limited to, issues arising from humidity variations, chemical exposure, theft, and damage due to sunlight or inclement weather. Additionally, any customization that affects the structural integrity of the piece, along with items sold as seconds or "as-is," is also excluded from this warranty.

Our warranty is designed to ensure the highest quality of our furniture. Please note that it does not extend to defects identified after the item has been inspected and signed for by the customer unless the defect becomes apparent later and is not visible at the time of pickup or delivery. Typically, construction defects present themselves soon after receipt; therefore, we encourage our customers to carefully inspect at that time to confirm that their furniture meets their expectations and is free of any flaws. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your understanding.

Furthermore, the warranty does not cover wood's natural characteristics, which may result in variations in color, grain, or texture. These characteristics are inherent to wood products. Our furniture is designed and handcrafted to showcase wood's warmth, texture, and natural beauty. As a natural material, wood may display organic markings such as mineral deposits, pitch pockets, and various grain patterns. We consider these markings not as flaws but as a testament to authenticity.

Decisions regarding repairs or replacements will be made at our discretion.

If you believe your furniture issue is covered under our lifetime guarantee, please contact us to discuss the details and obtain a return authorization number to initiate the process. You will need to provide the original bill of sale. Additionally, we may request further photographs to determine the most suitable return shipping method.

Please be aware that customers are initially responsible for the shipping and handling costs related to product returns. After we receive the returned item, Thurston will inspect it to determine if the issue is due to faulty workmanship or materials. If we find that this is the case, we will reimburse you for shipping and handling expenses incurred and will proceed with the necessary repairs or replacement at our discretion. Regardless of the situation, Thurston is committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with your furniture for a lifetime.
